You may laugh at me but...
I don't care what anyone says - Kenny Roger's "Lady" is still one of my all-time favorite songs. This awesome live performance gives me goosebumps, specially towards the end... what a voice, what lyrics, what heart and soul.
I was only 10 years old at the time it rocked to the top of the charts (yes, do the math... this was 1980) and I loved it the first time I heard it on the radio in my mom's rusty old Pinto. To this day the song remains a classic for many, a new discovery for some and, for me, a quirk off the usual electro techno funk I normally listen to.
Kenny, thanks for the voice. You rock.

I luurve this song! Lionel Ritchie wrote and produced it. It is so perfect for Kenny's voice. But I do hear a little Lionel in there. Wonder what Kenny is up to these days?
Yaaaayyy! I heart you! :-D
Kenny got old... but he's looking good though thanks to plastic surgery (well it looked that way when he was on American Idol last season or so).
Amazing how 3 decades can whoosh by. Wow. And yes Lionel is all over that song.
As Nelson would say, "Haa Ha!".....girl, I love ya, but this trips me out! Rock On.....
This is the best thing Kenny Rogers ever did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV6In1K8zKk
You've GOT to be kidding me! I loved him too as a kid. Had his Greatest Hits album, I can probably still remember the order of the songs. Sigh. Thanks for the great memory!
Curly, that's what sisterhood is all about! woooo! Let's sing it at dinner tomorrow night and drive N crazy :-D
and for Vegas too when he comes home for his smarta** comment.
