Cruel 1: disposed to inflict pain or suffering : devoid of humane feelings 2 a: causing or conducive to injury, grief, or pain b: unrelieved by leniency
Nothing cruel about putting the head of a dead animal on the wall (unless you then brought it's kids around to look at it). Tasteless maybe, but not cruel. Hunting it for sport? Well even that's not cruel, just callous. Hunting it with dogs and allowing the animal to be dragged down and torn to pieces? That's cruel. But usually there isn't much of a head left to put on the wall. Maybe that's how to deter the hunting groups "you dont want an ugly head on your wall. Hunt responsibly"
And she's my trophy wife Prin, so you can't have her ;)
I agree with Vegas really. Funny thing though about the squirrels. It's cos they are cute really innit? And the deer - we all think of Bambi. So what makes the chicken Public Enemy Number One? Battery farming, now that's cruel...
Ummm....yeah so I am bravely stepping out on a limb here.
I grew up with hunting in my life, I've never killed anything myself, but my brother and Dad did it every hunting season. I don't think it's because people think the animal is a beautiful specimen that they mount them on their walls, it's more of a way to brag about who's kill is bigger in the end. I don't agree with killing deer and moose or anything like that, and actually have talked my bf out of hunting for the past 4 years in a row lol. Especially in todays world where hunting equipment is so advanced, I mean they have mimicked an animals smell and bottled it so you can get even closer for a better shot...c'mon people, how do the animals stand a chance? I think it is a silly "sport" and have never truly felt comfortable around it.

Man really is the cruelest beast of all
Techno, I have your head on my wall. Aw.
Isn't it flattering?
You know, in a really gross, murderous kind of way?
You're my trophy. :D
btw, if anybody else picks "nevar" on your poll... Nah, won't happen. :D
Sad & true. I love animals, that`s why I don`t eat/wear any of them :)

Killing an animal to mount its head on a wall as a piece of art "because it's pretty" is beyond cruel, it's a retardation of the species.
Animals take from the earth (and from each other) only what they need to survive.
Humans? Well, let's not even go there, it's too embarassing. Cruel is too weak a word, when you think about it.
Uggh.
Honestly, I think hunters are their own breed. Kind of like the people in the south who eat squirrels. We'll just never know what it's like.
Unless maybe we're really, really hungry and the world runs out of berries.

True. Laughed at Vegas' new 'Hunt Responsibly' slogan - very good. They should totally use it!
I've always loved that quote. :o)
I was eating a chicken sandwich while reading this. Pass the salad, please.
No matter how we kill an animal (for food, for fun, for profit, for experimentation, etc) - I still hate it. Sigh.

Like they say... in a sport, both sides know they're in the game :-(
