Woke up to find about two feet of snow had fallen overnight, and there's another foot or so coming down on our heads today - mother of god, what did I do to deserve this?!
It's officially THE biggest storm to hit this place all winter, well since many winters, and of course it happens when Vegas is away in California... Oh, the bitter irony. It's warm-ish today, too, so the snow is very wet and super heavy - perfect for making giant snowpeople but impossible to shovel - I'm so discouraged, you have no idea!

Forget about walking them, too - the snow goes over my knees in most places, I broke out in a huge sweat just going around the house and to the coop laden with food and water buckets. Christ. I need snowshoes!"Um, mom? Help!"

All I can hope for is that the morons predicting the weather are right for once and rain is coming as of Friday to melt all this crap into a giant lake! Oh yes, this "two inches" of snow is right on target folks, thanks for warning us! NOT!Mmmm melting snow + rain = mud, also = dirty dogs, dirty coop, dirty boots, dirty floors... Mmmmm! I love this country.
