And not even a good story to go with it since I did it to myself this morning.
Took the guests out for their 7:30am walk, the little one spotted a deer on our property and just took off, snapping
!WHACK! a huge chunk of thick wet tangled nylon leash in my eye in the process - never felt pain like that before, I thought I had lost my eyeball.
I cried like baby.
So now I have a throbbing, big puffy black eye and reduced vision, am terrified it caused permanent damage - what a shit way to start a Monday!
Oh and of course it's that time of the month, too.
Swell :-D
Although I didn't hear anything, apparently one of the guests cried all night and drove Vegas crazy. He had to resort to ear plugs, the poor thing!
I say this with a smile as I cannot sleep without the things deep in my ears, I guess it's paying off now.
He he.
The lesson in all of this is
a) we need soundproofing of sorts in the stairwell and
b) we will really have to be careful as to not take any guests with severe separation anxiety or this business will quickly turn into a nightmare.
I slept OK but am dead on my feet today - go figure.
Still updating and trying to market my website, baby steps I know... If any of you have some links to send me (where to advertise) I'd really appreciate it!
Because I luv you guys :)

I think I'll pop on my iPod and bake some cookies, this afternoon is for dog grooming (5 of them), playtime in the park thanks to this beautiful summer weather(!yes!) and more work on my website, photos & marketing.
Gotta earn those pennies, I'm spending them faster than you can say "bankrupt!"
Yey!
Wishing you all a lovely LaborDayMonday, where-ever you are and what-ever you're doing. Keep on truckin'.
