My kind of angel

OK yum... something to look forward to when I go to heaven! (I refuse to go to hell, so there.) Little sister, you are not even 17 years old yet so pssshhht! Don't look OK? LOL G'nite!

Dinner of sorts

Food is food right? Had a small avocado with balsamic vinegar, then a small bowl of home-made minestrone soup (with ground beef, spicy, lots of beans and veggies), dessert was one cookie and a twizzler. Oh and some home-made iced tea, sweeted with honey. I'm all about the sugar today, can't seem to get enough of it. WTF! Am I not naturally sweet enough? (don't answer that)

Tomorrow risks to be another headbanger at work, so I'm indulging here tonight in my crazy little garden of sorts... oh! Please remember to cast your vote on this week's poll, if you haven't already done so.

So far the honest peeps are ahead in the race... I wonder if it will stay that way? I remember I used to looove finding quarters in payphones, got lucky a couple of times... that's not stealing, is it? I've never, ever shoplifted anything in my life (we all have our reasons why...) but I've been known to "borrow" stuff here and there, figure if it's not being used nobody will miss it... never from anybody I know though. I have utmost respect for privacy. Hmm that gives me a good idea for the NEXT poll... cool!

You can say THAT again!

What to eat?

OK back from a short run, sweat has dried up and I'm completely worn out - feels great! Just need to take painkillers for the headache though.. Now what to have for dinner? Hungry, but not in the mood to eat anything. Just want to crash and sleep... but I have to wait a few hours, still too much to do. Sigh. If I was alone right now (no bf and no dogs) I *would* just go to bed and sleep for 12 hours. Nice dream, not bloodly likely to happen! grumble grumble

Alive but not kicking

You can tell it's a ball-breaking day when I don't even have time for a quick 'ello... I'm so wiped out I'm typing with two fingers. Why the drama?

Well, the alarm never went off this morning. Woke up at 9am in a panic and we had to flush the morning routine - bf got dressed and split, I got stuck with taking the kids out and feeding them, cleaning up the kitchen & dishes on top of the usual stuff of having breakfast, getting dressed, makeup, checking work emails, etc. Oh and factor in the 30-minute walk to work and you bet I was late. On the only day where *everyone* was there and emails just kept pouring in, of course.

So yeah. Am drained, not well-fed, have a headache and it's sooo humid and clammy everywhere that my head is about to go "baaa baaa". To top it all off... I'm considering going for a quick run, because I'm so masochistic. yep. why the hell not.

Later!

In God's workshop

nor from his feet to be trampled on by him,
but out of his side to be equal to him."

Shitty day - literally

I hate gastro days - UUGGHH! came home to another pile of wet dog crap on the floor, all dried up and very hard to scrub and oh! the stink! %$@#! I hope he's empty now, for the love of god, it's enough now!! You pay top dollar for a champion-line purebred dog and you get one with a crappy coat, weak teeth and a super sensitive tummy that gets upset at the slightest atchoo. I'm pissed! Meanwhile our little paperless street rat is doing superbly and has none of these physical problems - WTF.

We'll bring him in for a full blood panel next week, I want to know if something's wrong with his plumbing. He's had a leaky eye for a week now (never had this), his face is whitening at an alarming rate, his teeth are all chipped and I'm getting worried. My poor beanie!

Besides all that, at work I have to endure a bunch of dorks (the "west coast" twits) and I do my best to stay patient but fuck! there's a limit to stupidity!! I miss my old gang :-( And no, it's not the neverending rain talking. I am really bummed out.

Tea break

Today's pretty mellow, what good timing... I'm still on 40 watts of brain-power. Mostly daydreaming about sunny beaches, rocky horizons, blue skies and vacation... oh, I can't WAIT! Just 31 more sleeps! (( choir of angels )) Hokay back to my tea now... and spreadsheets... zzzz.

I needed a giggle :)

An angry wife was complaining about her husband spending so much time at the pub. So, one night he took her along.

"What'll ya have?" he asked.

"Oh, I don't know. The same as you, I suppose," she replied.

The husband ordered a couple of whiskeys and drank his in one gulp. His wife watched him, then took a sip from her glass and immediately spat it out.

"Yuck, that's nasty poison!" she sputtered. "I don't know how you can drink this stuff!"

"Well, there you go," cried the husband. "And all this time you thought I was enjoying myself every night!"

How I feel right now

Still whacked out from what turned out to be a very short night, I hope no-one challenges me with mensa puzzles or Meaning of Life quips today or I might just break down and lick somebody sideways. Why is it only 10am? Mercy!!

Nasty 6am wakeup call

More like a wakeup stench... holy HELL. when the big dawg gets sick in the house, he goes all-out, man... took both of us over half an hour to clean up the mess in the back room. Of course he couldn't just have a cramp in the middle of the floor, he had to spray boxes full of stuff, the walls, appliances.... had to throw a bunch of stuff out (I'm not cleaning shit off a dust-buster) and wash the rest in hot water and soap. @$!*%!!!! No idea what he got into, both dogs eat exactly the same thing and the little one is fine. Sigh. Ask me if I'm tired!

Just a silly photo

Vive la sangriaaaaa

Mmm. That was SO nice!! After-work drinks with my ex-boss, whom I hadn't seen in months - waaay overdue! Two colleagues were also there (one had to run off early though) so it was alot of gossip and bitchin' and laughs. MUST do that again, and not next winter either! Man, I had missed him... such a gentleman and a kindred spirit. Mouah! Mouah!

Although, the sangria gave me a wicked headache... jackhammer-strength. uughh. Took some painkillers but will need bf to rub my neck before I pass out... Still have to make the kids' dinners, pack lunches & do dishes (ah yes, still a housewife after all...) and "House" is on in 30 minutes - love that show! So yeah... a very nice day. I didn't go running though... I really WANT to, how about tomorrow evening?

The poll is interesting, so far we've got more Honest folk than Opportunists. Not sure I believe everyone is actually telling the truth but if yes, well that's a nice boost to the morale. I would very much like to believe in the good of people, rather than assume everyone's got an ulterior agenda - after all, I sure don't... I think. Not a good place to go when one is drunk.

Tired.

These are my tired eyes right now. I promise I'll go to bed by 11:30pm tonight, latest. Honest! Last night was beyond my control, some events were happening online that I just couldn't ignore or not be part of... all is settled down now, I can get some sleep. I'm just not a very good "ISWID" kinda girl... zzzzzz.

Just too busy!

It's been a massive rush since I got up, one thing after another and no breaks in sight... uugghh! Meeting my ex-boss after work for a drink (with two colleagues), it's something to look forward to. So is digesting the lunch I just inhaled and is now sitting like a rock in my stomach. Back to the grinder now, I need all the good energy vibes I can get to make it through this day!

On heaven:

"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy
is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet,
alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel
that all is as it should be."

Finally, some minutes to myself

There are not enough hours in a day, no matter how early I get up. That's just a fact. Jeezus! OK everyone's exercised and fed for the night, the kitchen is clean and tomorrow's lunches are packed and ready to go. I got my freckles happy again, all that's left is a hot shower later on and bam, time to hit the bed again... no wine tonight, gotta start the nightly headache preventative meds again, 3 days in a row of eating tylenol and I've had enough!

Had fun snapping some pics in the field again tonight while the kids were doing their thing, am sick of the same old scenery all the time though. Itching for new horizons, so to speak... but beggars can't be choosers so I'll just shut up. The fun photo opportunities will happen sooner or later.

This photo is dedicated to my father... he'll know why.

Grinding away...

While the wind is whipping the trees outside my window into a green froth, and the dark ominous clouds play leapfrog in the skies - I'm actually making headway into my pile of work - woohoo! Can go home with a clear mind... knowing that tomorrow comes another load of crap, LOL! Just hope the rain holds, I don't have an umbrella and I'm wearing flip-flops! Ugh.

Am hoping to go tanning tonight, I jogged all the way over there yesterday (in the rain) and they had JUST closed. I'm starting to fade! I need my dose of canned sun! All this after walking home then taking the kids out for their evening run, of course. And making their dinners. Duties first... mom second (or is that third, fourth, fifth...).

Does anybody else NOT care that American Idol is done for the year?

Speaking of PMS

I'm in it full-swing today, bloated and cramped and oh! the nasty headache! So yeah, pass me the Magic Pills, please! And may God have mercy on my soul!

Mellow Monday

So far so good... slept pretty well but 6 hours is definitely not enough, so thank you Mr Tylenol for a lovely breakfast today... yep, painkillers and a latte, totally wrong but screw it! I hope the day stays quiet thanks to Memorial Day in the States, I need a few hours to catch up on some leftover stuff from last week. If I can go home tonight with a few projects finally completed, I'm gonna be one happy chick!

In case you missed it, click HERE to see the Sex Survey results and post your comments (merci cocotte for your thoughts!). This week's poll is about honesty... are we a bunch of crooks and liars or weavers of moral fibers? So far the results are neck-to-neck - it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

I need more wasabi peas, might walk down to Chinatown at lunchtime and see if I can find anything decent. Gotta work now... later alligators!

But where am I going?

"The road of life twists and turns
and no two directions are ever the same.
Yet our lessons come from the journey,
not the destination."
Don Williams Jr.

Gross, but i have to write about it

I often dream I have to pee but can't find a suitable bathroom (this happens when I really do have to pee, but I'm sleeping so...). Last night was one of those rare times when I did get relief and managed to pee... only I was a man, peeing standing up and thinking "wow this is GREAT!"... only I was peeing blood. Wasn't alarmed, thought "oh, I must have eaten beets or something with red dye" but then I had to go a second time, still dark red... I know it's gross, sorry. Scared the crap out of me, even if I knew I was dreaming - funny thing, that. Consciousness of reality vs state of sleep.

Anyways. I wonder if this means I should get my kidneys checked out? I'm way overdue for a general blood test, was supposed to get one last October... saw my GP, got the paperwork, made my way to the hospital and the waiting line was at least 1.5 hours long - said screw this! I was late for work and just never made the time to go back... fasting for 12 hours prior is not an easy thing to do, either (you can't even drink water!). I love our wonderful health system!

Cured by a (half) burger

Fear not, that there is an "american" burger, and yesterday I had an all-quebecois one at L'Anecdote - gave half to bf even if it was small, I'm not a meat person - and you know what? It held me happy until my brunch today, woke up feeling tight, fit and with a nice flat tummy. Hah! After being bloated and always hungry after salads... guess I need to keep the balance right. Thank you mister poutine, too! LOL

It's been a very fine day so far, despite the "chilly" 15C weather and steady sprinkle of rain. I slept well and feel rested, went for a power-walk with the kids on the mountain so got a bit of exercise there (boy were they ever muddy afterwards, uuggh), finished the shopping errands, the week's cooking and laundry, etc. Now the evening is for fun stuff, like finally going for a tan after putting it off for 5 days... Will jog over there and hopefully not collapse(!), wish me luck!

Sex poll results

Well knock me over with a feather... here's what you all reported back, through the poll:

I have awesome sex... just not with my spouse. 26%
My partner wants sex, I don't. 21%
It's ok, could be better but could be worse. 12%
My sex life sucks! 12%
Awesome! Couldn't be any happier! 9%
I want sex, my partner doesn't. 9%
I take alot of sexy showers with myself, does that count? 6%
My answer is not here 6%
I don't have a sex partner, woe is me. 0%
I am into abstinence, by choice. 0%

Assuming the answers were truthful... seems sex lives are not in a very good state right now... or, depending how you look at it, could be the opposite. I won't be the judge of that, just reporting what the public voted.

NEW POLL IS UP! VOTING BEGINS NOW!

On souls...

"We know now that the soul is the body,
and the body the soul.
They tell us they are different
because they want to persuade us
that we can keep our souls
if we let them make slaves of our bodies."
George Bernard Shaw

Unproductive, and who cares?

So yeah, not a productive day (ok I did the laundry and made a big jug of amazing iced tea, BFD!) but one needs the weekend for such things, right?

The hot juicy burger was delicious and really hit the spot - ok half a burger - and the perfect poutine was rreeeerrr! Am feeling quite accomplished in that regard, satiated and catty. Miam!

After that we took the kids for a walk in the warm breezy green field - man, I can't believe how fast the grass grows there, it's already a jungle - and I've been spending waaay too much time of my new pets forum... but it's fun! I'm happy and lovin' it! Almost time for our evening walk now, after bf finishes vaccuuming (yes, some men do that: see poster of "Modern Wife", he he).

I'll continue updating the videos section, and will try to get some sleep after that (not necessarily in that order). Tomorrow will be another series of battles to pick but we're not there yet!

Flat as a pancake

That's where it's at right now... came back from a lovely stroll with bf, picked up a supernice tote bag (didn't have one), he got 3 pairs of Rocketdogs - yayy finally those old ugly sandals can go in the trash now! - and half the week's groceries are done for us & the furkids. Oh and the guys at the shoe store were sooo nice, showed them my feet full of blisters from the Soda shoes I bought there two days ago and they've never seen anything like it, totally unbelievable... they said "here pick a belt, anything you like!". So I got a nice funky silver leather belt for free, LOL! Definitely good customer service.

I don't know why I'm so flat, finding hard to breath but it's not asthma(?). At this point I'll listen to my stomach which has a supercraving for a juicy burger and fries, fuckit. I'm not fat, I look great for my 37 years, and dinner later will be fruit and veggies if I'm still hungry. I eat really well most of the time so why the hell beat myself up over a stupid burger? Off we go!

One of my very favorite cartoons ever!

Thank god for flip-flops

...or "thongs", the kind you wear on your feet (well of course the other kind also rock and they're what i wear, but let's not go there)! My feet are covered in painful blisters so I can't go running today - I'm SUCH an idiot eh? Won't make that mistake again!

Still low energy today, so will take it easy and stick to the basics. Had an OK night's sleep despite the stink of someone tarring their roof seeping into the bedroom at 6am onwards (GAG), have a slight but manageable headache going on at the moment which I'll kill with tylenol. Haven't taken the nightly migraine drugs the past two days, wanted to see if I felt any different. I must admit I really can't tell, at this point... Weird. I'll start them again for a week and then see, I guess.

Sooo gorgeous out today, again!! I'm totally loooving this... Am showered, fed, dressed and ready to go run some errands with bf, but happy stuff like shoe shopping (for him) and just enjoying the warm sun. Need to pick up some groceries too, but in a relaxed fashion, no rush on anything today. The kids are fed and having their daily siesta, we'll take them out to the mountain tonight or something after the sun goes down a bit and it cools off. And that's it for now... sooo sleepy though... exhausted from the long week but:

rrreeeeeerr!

Time to go

My friend said he knew a man with a wooden leg named Smith.
So I asked him "What was the name of his other leg?"

Ugh.. I think it's time for sleepies now!

I dream of cupcakes!

Oh, aren't they just gorgeous? miam, miam: come to mama! Only in my dreams eh? Seriously I'm drooling here, it's really bad and I blame it on PMS, I really do.

Damn muggy hot, sweating here in the house and NO CUPCAKE IN SIGHT. Did I say that out loud?

HELP!

Life is good.

Summer is here! Work is getting super busy, but I love what I do and the amazing people I work with... Got a fabulous week by the sea with bf & the kids coming up in a month, then 2 weeks of work in California in August - good change of pace! As soon as this heat wave is over I can start running again, little by little to build up some kind of lung function... I know I can do it!

I've been in contact with some long-lost friends this week, and hope to see my mom this month too... it's her birthday soon, time for a daughter/mom city bash! Maybe it's the good night's sleep I got last night but I just feel happy. Content. Positive. Not bloated like a dead whale, hehe!

Star sighting: a few folks from the office just saw Brad & Angelina walking nearby... streets are blocked off for a film Brad is shooting with Cate Blanchette. All there is next door is a gas station, wtf? I guess the muggy heat doesn't bother them much after Africa... still, it's a small world.

Closing the poll this weekend

Did not quite expect these results, I have to say! There's a LOT more philandering going on than anything else, by the looks of it... but one never hears about it. Hmm. VERY interesting. Please cast your votes if you haven't already done so... it's all in good fun (and completely anonymous)!

Oh and it would be nice to have comments attached to the votes... who's getting all that great sex "out of the relationship"? and those few souls who have an awesome sex life, what is your secret? etc. Wondering minds want to know!

For today's gallery

4 blisters, and counting

Apparently I'm not one of those people who can go sockless in simple canvas shoes. OK lesson learned, can the burning pain of humongous blisters just stop now? They're so huge i'm afraid if I pop them I'll suffer immediate dehydration :(

Dammit. And those shoes are sooo cute, too. I'll have to let my feet heal, then protect the vulnerable spots with bandaids and cover all of that with those little nylon footie socks, so there is no chafing. How sexy is that? Waaah! No idea how I'm gonna manage to walk home after work, either... another sizzling muggy smoggy 32C today. Wow feels just like California! LOL

Ending it with Judy

Always be a first-rate version of yourself,
instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.
~Judy Garland

Now that's a mantra to live by! Not always an easy one, but an honest one. I'll do my best to remember it when the goals and visions become foggy...

Thanks to the warm dry evening, we started our "summer family walks" with the dogs and oh boy, if we charged a nickel for every time we get stopped for questions and can i please pet your dogs... they could pay for their own ice-cream cones! A short stroll lasts an hour, feels so great. Am all showered now, having a glass of shiraz while my hair dries, the bedroom is cooling down (kids couldn't WAIT to get in there!) and I'm ready to conk out. Hugs!

That ain't water!

"That'll teach them to boss me around... let them drink gin!"

OK that's more along the lines of a boss's fantasy than anything else... silly TD. It's still bleddy hot and the sun is almost down, just digesting my lovely student dinner of toast with assorted toppings and a glass of milk, fuckit I'm fat and bloated anyways, what's a little more? meh!

Smiler I'm not mad at you, just overworked and underslept, it's PMS week and you know what that means. I just don't feel really social right now, that's all. I know you understand :)

Boo, where did you go? You're silent these days... as well as a few others - guess everyone's busy and mostly minding their own lives lately. Either that or I've become so frickin' boring that reading the encyclopedia backwards in russian is more thrilling. Waaaah!

Better now :)

Well, kinda sorta! The meds did kick in but it took what, over 2 hours? Ridiculous... and now I'm just stoned, LOL! wheeeeeee! well more like verrryy sleepy... walked home in the crushing heat, it's only bad if you're in the direct sun though. Shade = good. Picked up some rockin' espresso beans on the way home, and hit paydirt in a new shoe shop near home - after months of searching for a comfortable simple "walk barefoot in" shoe - got a pair that actually FITS like a glove! I'm so thrilled! http://www.sodashoes.com/, how cute is that? I'll have to photograph my feet, he he!

So the kids are in the bedroom, door closed and A/C on - with big silly grins on their faces, they're sooo happy now. Finally not panting like crazy. I might go hang out with them and grab a nap... complete debauchery!

Love this photo

Snapped this a couple days ago... thought the juxtaposition was interesting: nature, beast, bricks and mortar.

Prescription meds: what a joke!

So that "magic migraine buster" pill? Total joke. A tylenol has more effect. Either that or I'm from another planet. Planet Pain, at the moment.... and I can't even go home because there's a blackout (bf just called to tell me), so the place is an oven with no A/C, no TV, nuttin'. Can't even open the fridge cuz the power could be out for hours and we don't want the food to spoil. What a crappy day.

Wanderlust

On a hot muggy day like today (how's 30C for comfort?), I'd love to kick back on a boat somewhere, surrounded by blue water and a cold drink in my hand... aaah. Go swimming once in a while to cool down, snooze in the shade... a dreamy life.

As it stands, I'm fighting a horrible headache so thank god the office has A/C - gonna pop some mega drugs right now, a bit afraid of the side-effects, if any... guess I'll find out! oooh bitter... but orangy. tiny pill you let melt on your tongue, in the 5-HT agonist class of drugs - constricts your blood vessels so the bobo goes away. Hah. If this works it'll be a miracle... however at $100 for 6 tiny pills, it better!

Bf woke me up from a deeeeep sleep this morning, it was like being in the bottom of a pool and slooowly swimming up from its depths to the top, where the sun is too bright... i was in the middle of some weird dream so yeah, REM disruption and I can't wake up. sooo sleepy. Spent the better part of the morning in a meeting so just trying to catch up on work now. I guess I better get to it, eh?

Slumber calls

I am accustomed to sleep and in my dreams
to imagine the same things that lunatics imagine when awake.
~Rene Descartes, "Meditations on First Philosophy"

Supercreepy

OK I dunno about you guys, but this would not inspire me to put a can of "Van Camp's Pork and Beans" in my grocery store cart anytime soon (had I been shopping in the 40's or whenever this creepy ad was printed).

Satan's Spawn: "C'mon mom, gimme some pork and beans!"
Mom: "No son, not again for breakfast."
Satan's Spawn: "But mom! It's Van Camp's!"
Mom: "I said no!"
Satan's Spawn (under his breath): "Bitch!"
Mom: "Young man just you wait until your father gets home!"
Satan's Spawn: "he he. that's the idea! burn bitch, burn!"

Shudder. Now owned by ConAgra Foods... need I say more! Oh a bit of history is always fun:

HistoryVan Camp's roots began with Gilbert Van Camp and his wife, Hester. Back in 1861, they canned fruits and vegetables in their family store in Indianapolis. Van Camp was an entrepreneur and tinsmith who built the first cold storage warehouse. Gilbert's son, Frank, discovered that pork and beans taste better when mixed with tomatoes and served hot. He began marketing his new product and even sold them to Union troops during the Civil War. By 1909, Van Camp's was the No. 1-selling pork-and-bean brand in the United States.

Respecting my limits...

I'm not well today.

I got to work and suffered a big hypoglycemic attack, had the shakes and the sweats for 30 minutes before I could get it under control - and that hadn't happened in months. The past couple of days have wiped me out mentally and it's catching up to me physically, what with the lack of sleep and everything. So no, I didn't go running and I'll go tanning this weekend, I'm just too tired to leave the house and I need to stop beating myself up over silly stuff like that! It's PMS week, I'm bloated and feeling oh so not sexxay, eh?

The A/C unit is up in the bedroom, I did a load of laundry after making the dogs' dinner and washing the dishes, managed to eat a bowl of protein granola and a banana (he he: baaaanaaanaaaa) and here I am, ready to paint my toenails. HAH! The American Idol finale is on and I don't give a crap who wins, it was a super boring season this year anyways... I mean, who the hell votes for a beat-boxing robin williams look-alike who can't hold a tune?

As the 80's would have said: "gag me with a spoon".

Wiped out!

What a day! And it ain't over yet... now I have to get the kids from the dogsitters (and it's never just a short visit with him, either), haul ass back home, find something to eat, feed the dogs, then I want to get a bit of running in and also a quick tan to keep the freckles alive. Oh and the A/C unit installation, can't forget about that... I'm so damn tired. Just want to lay down for a quick nap... how wonderful that would be... Every minute that I sit here I feel heavier and heavier - BAD!

Interesting poll stats

...but keep voting please, there isn't enough data in there to show anything conclusive. Everybody has an opinion about "their sex life", I am sure! LOL! And no worries everything is totally anonymous, there is no way I can tell who voted what. Really. Honestly. Although I wish I could, it would make for a helluva interesting conversation piece ;-)

Hoboy!

If idle time is the devil's workshop, I'm a saint yet again today! Just taking a quick lunchtime break to say Hello, World - I'm not dead just stoopid busy. Gorrrgeous sunny day, we'll be hitting the high 20's in a few hours, still a nice breeze outside so all is just perfect. Well, not perfect since I can't be out there to enjoy it, eh?

The kids get to be with their dogsitter this afternoon so that's cool, gives me a bit more time to work and run some errands on the way home (I'm already there, LOL!). Couldn't sleep worth a lick last night despite the meds - mind you, I'm only taking half a dose... maybe that's the problem - so at 2am I said "fuck this", got up and went to eat a bowl of granola cereal and then some red organic nachos with salsa. Hah! Did the trick, slept well after that... Never go to bed hungry is the moral I guess. Ooops.

Deeep breath... you can get through this day, girl. Don't carelessly spend energy on the wrong things, you need lots for this evening cuz you need a run, a tan, and menial house jobs like putting up the A/C for the summer, making dinner, doing dishes, that sort of boring crap nobody wants to hear about yet you still blablabla about it - ah OK, I'll go now... bye...!

What a day...

First, this gorgeous photo of Moon meeting Sun over the arctic polar cap... imagine being there and capturing this momentous occasion, feeling and smelling it? Wow... what dreams are made of.

Second, it's been a bitch of a busy day, my brain is full and I need the comfort of sleep to let it breathe. Tomorrow will be no better so I might lag behind a bit in postings - hope not to though, this place relaxes me... Oh and we're bracing for a massive (but short) heat wave, gonna have to clean the A/C unit tomorrow evening and put that up in the bedroom for the summer... as if I have time for that stuff, LOL! Off for a shower now, I'm exhausted and need an early night.

Little sister, you and I need to talk... heard about your Ex not being an Ex anymore and am kinda pissed you didn't have the courage to tell me yourself about it - am I that much of a monster? Geez! All I'll say is that next time he dumps you and you spend days crying and hurting, I'll still be there for you, that's what sisters do. I wish you knew that, eh? Then I'll go break his kneecaps and dump his sorry ass off the Champlain bridge and laugh all the way home! Rat bastard. I hope he rots in hell! hehe. Sorry sis, I love you but you have very bad taste in guys. He's a stupid, manipulative, dumb ugly asswipe. But you have to learn this for yourself... nobody else can make those mistakes, I know that. I love you OK?

OK end of rant! G'nite world xxx

Killer dogs strike again

OMG I am sooo sad... was sitting in the field with the dogs this evening, everyone minding their own business, when they trotted off to an area they rarely go to, near a building's parking lot. I then hear a fair bit of screeching, like a bird in distress or attack mode, but don't think much about it since it's a fairly common sound there.

Well.

The kids come back and Maika is proudly holding a disembowled baby hare by a back leg, its soaking wet body still warm, all limp and with its guts just hanging out of a ripped abdominal wall... I felt sick to my stomach. The poor creature must have suffered or fought for his life, he was just a baby for crissake. I know "it's what dogs do, they hunt and kill" but that doesn't make it any easier... specially for a city girl with a soft heart, I HATE killings and death and all that.

RIP little bunny... may heaven be your safe green place now.

Have a break, have a moonbat!

And the hive is buzzing!

Alarm off, rush through morning routine, sunny walk to the office and it's been nonstop crazy since then... long conference call and trying to catch up on all incoming emails and requests and reports, uufff! Haven't had time for lunch yet either and the grumbling tummy is getting insistent.. and I wanted to go smell the warm air to cut the day into more sizeable chunks. Guess today is bad time management.

I'm stupid late in returning some personal phonecalls and emails, my plants are thirsty and need their summer vitamins, I really need to get a grip and be responsible. Time for another list I think, LOL! It's all doable, at least I feel sane and in control of things. Nobody worry!

Kay need to post this or it'll get lost in the shuffle, more later when I can breathe ;-)

Moan

Can't stop listening to this most funky song by Trentemoller, called "Moan", featuring Ane Trolle - do give it a spin, I posted the link to the supercool video on the navigation bar under my profile. It's addictive! Now I won't be able to sleep cuz it'll play over and over in my packed brain all night long. ghha!

Back to the grinder tomorrow... up early and into the tight four walls to earn the pennies. I better get my butt in the shower right now then, feel like having a wee glass of red wine after that and only half the dose of the headache meds. Had a bad one all day, nasty skull tension, so maybe I don't need the full dose after all. It's trial and error for the next few weeks.

Pleasant dreams to you all!

I did it!

Might not be much news for the average folk, but I just took myself running - brought the ventilin this time - and I swear I could already run a little further than last time... baby steps, must not push it too far too fast and then get discouraged. Lungs are burning like a bitch, I'm a bit shakey but oh! so proud and sweaty and feeling great. My sweet running partner loves to come along cuz she gets to eyeball lots of alley cats but mommy keeps a short leash cuz she doesn't want to trip over a hunting akita and scrape up her knees, eh?

Here is one of my fun renditions of her:

Too tired for dinner... already ate alot this weekend so that's alright. Might have some fruit salad & yogurt though. mmmhmm!

300 lbs

That's what my body and brain feel like right now... heavy as a pile of bricks... soooo tired. yaawwwnnn and too late for a nap. I just skinned 25 lbs of chicken legs (half of the lot) and next comes the grinding, bagging, kitchen cleanup and sanitizing - as if I felt like it UUGGHH. I just want to lay down and pass out... sleep... hard to breathe I'm so tired.

And guess what?

After all of this I'm gonna go running! LOL yep and bring the ventilin with me this time. Why torture and push myself like this? Cuz... I just gotta, that's all. I'll feel a million times better after (at least mentally).

I must be crazy :-s

The dessert I can't have

But a girl can always dream about it ;-)

On food

Smells so good in here, it's impossible not to write about it... i need a bigger crockpot, since i'm using this small one every weekend and it can't make much more than two meals' worth at a time (for 2 people). So yeah, am shopping for one... fun fun fun! Right now, simmering away is boneless skinless chicken thighs in cream of mushroom soup, with white navy beans and chopped sweet potato, lots of garlic and pepper. Very satisfying and tasty lunches for this week (drool)!

Just getting ready to have a yummy salad of mixed greens, chopped hardboiled egg, yellow peppers, english cucumber, avocado and roasted sunflower seeds all drizzled with a little light olive oil and a lovely sweet balsamic glaze (again drool). I was a good girl and all the way home from the walk, resisted the tantalizing smell of golden crispy french fries and juicy burgers... trust me it was HARD! Payback will be better health and a clear conscience, so it's all worth it.

Time to eat now, later alligators! :)

Freedom! woo!

Nothing like a holiday Monday to kick off the week - specially one that is so sunny and gorgeous! Woke up at 10:30am but with a blasting headache unfortunately... bf graciously rubbed my neck so that helped, and i crunched some tylenol with a big breakfast & latte and feel better now.

As soon as I get dressed (hey it's only noon, LOL) and put today's crock-pot dinner together, we'll head out for a nice long walk with the kids - need the exercise and fresh air & tiring out the kids is always a good thing he he. As if they weren't snoring right now anyways... lazy bums. I feel so relaxed and chilled out right now, uuaaahhh... almost like on vacation. Definitely am a summer baby and need more of this weather on a year-round basis. yeah.

3-odd fingers

It's interesting to try and type with 3 fingers of one hand (thumbs are not fingers) - i messed up my "bird finger" today when it got looped around a nylon leash that got yanked from my grip when my little one decided she wanted to bolt - ugh. ripped the nail right from its bed, i bled and didn't think it would get so infected that i have a hard time closing my right hand into a fist. you only realise how much you use a digit (or muscle, or tooth, or anything) when you injure said body part and it hurts like a bitch.

I'm doped up, cleaned up, zonked out and ready for bed any minute now... and so freakin' happy that tomorrow is a holiday, i badly needed an extra day's rest. hah what rest... of course i had to draft up a list of things to do, it's retarded i know! but it helps me to relax, in a strange way.

So the plan is, grosso modo:

-wake up not too late, but not early either
-go for a run, cuz today i waited too late and then it rained
-got 50+ lbs of chicken legs to grind for the kids's dinners
-make some overdue calls to friends
-hopefully go have a latte with cocotte, if she's up to it
-and rest... i need to rest.

The rest is all small puttering around the house stuff, and of course bf helps out alot - all I have to do is ask :-) Brain is definitely shutting down now... g'nite peeps...

All dogged out!

Just back from the pets.ca meetup on Mont Royal mountain, it was sooo much fun! Met some wonderful dogs (except for one psychotic minpin, LOL!) and equally lovely owners, lots of photos were taken, cookies shared, doggies petted and smooched, stories exchanged.

The only drama of the meetup was, of course, the psycho minpin breaking free of his collar and throwing himself into my boy's jaws, snarling and yapping, and there was an ugly scuffle... by miracle and incredible luck, the tiny dog only suffered a puncture on his hip - he could have been ripped in two or crushed or had a leg snapped in a second - WHEW! thank god my boy isn't the type to get into "kill mode" over 1.5 hours of being snarled and barked at... he's alot more patient than I am, LOL! After that incident though, we finally had peace and quiet... the minpin owner is a very patient and loving woman, there is no way in hell i could endure a fraction of what she does, that thing is hell on 4 legs!

Tired now... didn't get a good night's sleep and I need to have some lunch now - probably a nice simple salad, since I had toast and coffee this morning. I also want to go walk a bit before the rain comes... still have a few errands to run but today is an easy relaxed day. yeah.

Sliding into slumber...

Dreaming permits each and every one of us
to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.
~William Dement

GU rules!

Jackpot! Am rockin' to a jewel I just purchased off iTunes (we know they suck, but it's all I gots for now) - check out Global Underground Mixed - Deluxe Edition, a most gorgeous 4-disc set that grabs you by the nads, pumps you up and makes you MOVE! It's just... a perfect, unusually flavored classy compilation that should be part of every eclectic collection. You won't be disappointed ;-)

So both dogs are now bathed & groomed, ready for their pets.ca meetup on the mountain tomorrow morning... hoping it won't rain, PLEASE god keep the skies dry until mid-afternoon! Why wet dogs stink so much, even after a bath, is a mystery - peeyoojeezus. They're fed and snoozing now... sounds like a good act to follow. Am too tired to stay up tonight, gonna listen to the bio-clock thingie and fall into slumber. Always love dreaming...

Oww that burns!

Sigh. I have the cardio system of a 70 year old. Totally my fault for never running or spinning or anything past the age of 20, and I'm paying for it now... get winded for 10 minutes after walking up two flights of stairs. Well I just put my new running shoes to the test and tried a few blocks - it is HARD! I had to stop mid-way, wheezing and dizzy, couldn't breathe... no doubt asthma creeping its way back into my life. And I thought I was all done with that.

When I was younger (up to about 5 years old), I had debilitating asthma attacks. My parents brought me blue and inert to the emergency room on more than one occasion, and I remember weekly injections to cure the disease, the noxema mist spray in my room humidier... After we moved out of the polluted city to the countryside, I got a whole lot better. So much, in fact, that until recently I forgot I ever had the damn attacks in the first place.

Just took a shot of ventilin from bf's pump, and will now carry it with me when I go running. If you can consider 10 city blocks "running" - totally pathetic, I know. But if I don't start now, it won't get better by itself so i need to keep the mantra "you can do it, girl!!" high-five?

Unsettled skies

"Unsettled Skies" copyright Technodoll, 2007

That was last evening's showdown, today it's all clear but the clouds are moving back in... hope we'll be spared for most of the long weekend. So far it's been just perfect, 21C and blue sunny heavens - haven't been outside enough to enjoy it so after the house chores are over, we're off for a walk with the kids. My bro's in town with his gf, hope to hook up with them later on, too!

I feel good today. Not letting a few dark clouds (ie people) spoil my mood or my manners, I realise that you cannot help someone who doesn't want to be helped. If they cannot communicate both ways - listen as well as talk - then there is no point wasting energy trying to get them to listen. Happiness is created from within, it does not fall from the hands of god or divine intervention - it takes hard work, some luck and alot of perseverance. You need to have a few good goals and focus on those, instead of spreading yourself thin trying to do too much.

So yeah... One day at a time, and I have to stop trying to please everybody. I come first now. How good that feels to just say it out loud, too! woo!

Before I run out!

It's beautiful today, the only warm sun we'll be seeing this long weekend so out I go, LOL! Have to tire out the kids since they get a bath tonight and won't be able to go run in the mud tomorrow... Slept in late and it was much-needed: I conked out halfway through "The Good Shepherd" last night (oops) but it never captured my interest so no matter. Gotta run, will catch up with y'all later! xxx

Adding to the garden

"Sugarcrack Blues" - Copyright Technodoll, 2007

So I took the plunge and bought a pair of wonderful Nike Air Max Moto shoes - my feet are now perfectly snuggled and ready for action, tomorrow starts the running... I'll take my girl along as she's a great steady side companion, no pulling or jerking on the leash. If - no, WHEN! - I can run for more than a few minutes at a time without wheezing like an old kettle, I'll then take my boy who is older and is allowed to have pavement pounding, as his joints are done maturing. We'll just have to learn to jog together, he and I...

Gotta finish some laundry then get in my jammies, it's time for a movie and oh! yes! a back & shoulder rub, since bf offered so nicely LOL! This long weekend is quite packed but for sure, a priority is to catch up on sleep... and it starts by going to bed at a reasonable hour. Hey if I don't have discipline for my own self, who's gonna do it for me?

Viva pizza!

What a lunch... went with some colleagues for some ooey gooey yummay pizza at a place around the corner called Amelios, who knows how long I'll be conscious after this! We threw a few ideas around for cool marketing initiatives, there's alot of great stuff just around the corner - pumped! I really love this team and proud to be part of this rockin' company! woo!

Liquid love

Warm honey on buttered whole grain toast... what a treat! Add a hot latte and we're all set for a happy Friday...

So yeah, dunno if it's the drugs but it's the 4th day in a row that I wake up headache-free - still had a restless period at 4:30 am, like half my brain is struggling to stay awake and the other half won't let it - my neck is stiff as a board but what the heck, I feel good! Lots of happy energy to face a busy 3-day weekend.

I feel dirty for saying this, but I do love www.avon.ca... just bought a bunch of stuff and it feels like Christmas, LOL! Gonna be a whopping credit-card bill in two weeks though... been shopping like a mad woman lately, what is WRONG with me! I can't stop spending left and right, and it's not like I can afford to you know? I should be saving up for a latex mattress (there goes a good 2K), for a new dining room set, for a car to replace this one next year, for our summer vacation rental by the sea, yadi yadi...

I used to have & follow a budget but fell off the wagon, bumped my head and here I am, online shopping cuz I've exhausted all the stores around me. Not a shopaholic but not too far from the label... eeek!

Where angels fear to tread

"The repose of sleep refreshes only the body. It rarely sets the soul at rest. The repose of the night does not belong to us. It is not the possession of our being. Sleep opens within us an inn for phantoms. In the morning we must sweep out the shadows."
Gaston Bachelard

Veal lungs and donkey sticks

Mmm. Finally a quiet moment... got productive tonight! After lugging home 4 heavy grocery bags on my walk home (good for biceps, LOL), I took the kids for a nice run in the supergreen field, snapped some pix for my art album so those are tucked away for a rainy day project. Dinner was a bowl of tender brocoli with some butter and salt, and a bowl of grape tomatoes & half an avocado sprinkled with a gorgeous fig & spice balsamic vinegar. OK and a handful of mini chocolate cookies(!!).

Finally backed up all my full-sized photos on DVDs and cleared off my hard-drive, which was just getting sooo sluggish. All better now. Went tanning and after that brisk walk, fed the dogs and here I am! Vowing to avoid chopping up raw veal lungs for the kids anytime soon again, OMG that is so fucking gross! dry yet wet super spongy stretchy pale pink with.... awe, I won't go into the details, suffice to say it's disgusting. How can anyone eat that stuff? How on earth do you prepare it? Um, I don't wanna know, I really don't (in case anyone came up with a recipe or anything).

Moving along!

Been listening to the same 3 or 4 songs constantly the past few days, feel like a lunatic - why is it so hard to find good music on iTunes? oh yeah... iTunes sucks donkey sticks... are there any alternatives? safe and affordable sites to dowload kickass music? I'd LOVE to know! I need more hacker friends, btw... he he.

On gardens

Since we reap what we sow... I ought to start being more positive and focused, wrapping good karma around my life. Lure the good potatoes to my dinner plate, so to speak!

Inner fight

...fighting to resist eating chocolate again. I don't know what's wrong with me :( I'm bored, I feel dull, useless and uninspired, I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep... after eating chocolate. Maybe it's the shitty weather, or the new drugs? The boring routine? I dunno. Just need a change in scenery I guess... looking forward to summer vacation and then an exit to California for a couple of weeks. In the meantime... stuck here. Maybe I do need to learn how to run.

(edited to add: lost the fight, had chunks of luscious Milka chocolate, fuck it!)

The blogging garden

Doesn't this place look just like a crazy slice of summer? I mean a nice garden, packed with rich colors and crazy plump goodness, some weeds and bugs here and there... but it's all part of the package! Just gotta get out my "ho" and start cleaning up... or maybe not, maybe i'll just let this run wild.

Speaking of plump, my clothes seem to have shrunk in the closet again. dangnabbit! i just can't seem to get healthy and stay healthy - no discipline nor drive to make exercise a regular part of my day... uughh. I'm such a lazy potato. Wish I had a partner who was into physical activities and dragged me along, really, I need that. and nice friendly weather too. the sea. the forest. yum. Maybe I should just get a good pair of running shoes and just... "do it".

Candy hearts

Here's another of my photos, all "artsied up"... my favorite garden plant called "bleeding hearts". Mom always had some in our gardens and around the house when I was a kid, they bring back alot of happy memories. Someday, I want a huge garden to grow a ton of veggies just like my mom did... maybe she can teach me how to love the earth a little more. I dedicate this to her!

Music, moods and moons

I updated the music section, on the right menu bar... sooo many songs I'd love to post but can't find to upload, grrr. It's like doing groceries in an ethiopian village or something! So yah, am in a musical mood, there is no moon to be seen - the wind would just shove it right out of the sky, anyways - and I'm just in my jammies on the couch now, playing around with some of my photos - when I have enough I'll put up that art album. Had a yummay grilled-cheese sandwich for dinner, how 'bout that? Total "fuck it" evening, if I could eat any more chocolate than I did today, I would do it. Screw fitness, let's just sleep, eat and get fat!! who cares anyways. Oh ding-dong: time for a second hot chocolate!!!

Caramel Jesus

Inspirational photo by Technodoll, 2007...
spread a little love, love one another
or just love your caramel toffee - it's all good.

Inspiration evades me

Can't seem to find any creative outlet tonight, so I'll just post a couple of my favorite pics... Must be the dreary cold rain, my cold nose or the carb crushdown... it's too disgusting to leave the house even to get some fake sunrays. I'll get blown away like Mary-freakin- Poppins. Already broke an umbrella walking home tonight... yep, it's in the trash all mangled and tangled. Bloody stoopid weather!! At least my kids, they make me smile :)

6C and getting colder

So unreal... it's like summer came and went in one quick whooosh! Alot of grumpy people around today - chocolate and coffee doesn't seem to help much. I should brave the elements and go tanning tonight, just out of spite, hehe.

I might just do that.

After I get in my snowsuit to take the dogs out.

Fuck!! Get me out of this stinking cold depressing place!

Snow in May?

Yep, it's predicted for tonight and tomorrow... wet melting snow. In mid-May - freaky eh? It apparently only happens every 8 to 10 years, it's just sick if you ask me. Must blow a bubble to honor this apocalyptic draft of cold air. uugghh!

Boo, thanks for the photos you sent of the school demolition... I still don't know whether to cheer or to cry. I do have some good memories from the two years I spent there, better I just hang onto those than onto the bricks and mortar that are no more. N is going there this weekend to take more pics, for sure it's just rubble now but still. She was shocked too.

Feeling pretty robotic right now, nothing exciting going on and no big rants or happy wooo's to share... I think I slept pretty well but it's hard to tell, my brain is sluggish. Maybe a giggle is in order..

A woman, standing nude, looks in the bedroom mirror and says to her husband "Honey, I look horrible, I feel fat and ugly. Pay me a compliment?" The husband replies, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect!"

He will never walk again...

New drug

Hey guess what: no headache today, it's a miracle!! What if... what if this treatment really does work? Scary cuz what then... I can't take drugs every day for the rest of my life, what about the side-effects? Gonna have to look into that, *if* this works.

It was a pretty quiet day at work, despite the "7 fire-truck interlude" - oh yeah. Did I mention the VP likes to eat fish... reheated in the microwave... oh! the stink! so one of my colleagues had the brilliant idea to light a scented candle to cover the smell or something, except he used a piece of paper to light the candle and then blew it out... right under the smoke alarm... man are those things ever sensitive! Everybody had to evacuate the building, even if we damn well knew there was no reason to. Yep, 7 fire trucks were there less than 5 minutes later. Needless to say... a couple of people felt pretty sheepish today! Gawd. We did share a good laugh though, he he.

Have a great trip to NYC, dear Smiler - looking foward to your impressions of the city this time around. Cocotte, hopefully tomorrow evening I can come over and kidnap you for south-shore chicken? or how about jeudi? Let me know!

Bisous everyone! G'nite.

I'm not dreaming of you

There's a feeling within
Getting under my skin
Breakdown
My plane just hit the ground
Got control over me
Got a rise out of me
Downfall
Full tilt against the wall
Of all the things I would ever do
I only regret the fact
That I ever put my trust in you

I can't go on denying
A part of me is dying
Whenever I'm in you
Is it me is it you
I can't go on pretending
This is how we're ending
I stopped dreaming of you
And the things we would do

Like a thorn in the side
A distortion of life
No way, can't take another day
Every storm you create
Every feeling I fake
Wake up my truth became a slut
How hard you try no matter what you do
In the end my dear
Your love won't never be enough for two

This is how we're ending
I'm not dreaming of you

De/Vision - I'm Not Dreaming Of You

The lord sayeth:

I disagree but... oh well. "amen"!!

Here comes the rain again..

...dragging the cold damp air in with it, ugghh. gonna be friggin' cold and depressing the next few days outside, hard to exercise the dogs in these conditions. oh THEY don't mind, but mommy does! gghhhaaaa. thank god i remembered to bring my umbrella to work this morning.

This girl's been bad... ate a mofo lot of creamy Milka chocolate this afternoon, I was like a mad-woman, unstoppable and stuffing my face and oh! the mouth orgasms, it was soooo good! hey it's only like 550 calories and 30 grams of fat, pfffffffft, no problem... chocolate is my secret lover, what's wrong with that?! A woman has needs ya know! so. there.

But one can always overdo a good thing - case in point? A recipe for disaster:

INGREDIENTS:
1 German chocolate or other chocolate cake, baked, 13x9x2-inch
3/4 cup fudge topping
3/4 cup caramel or butterscotch topping
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
6 chocolate covered toffee bars
1 tub of whipped topping or 1 envelope Dream Whip, prepared with milk

PREPARATION:
Do not remove cake from pan. After the cake has cooled, make holes in the entire top of the cake using a large fork or the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour (one at a time) fudge, butterscotch, and condensed milk over the top of the cake and let each flavor soak in before adding the next. Crush 3 of the candy bars and sprinkle on the top. Frost the cake with the whipped topping and crush the 3 remaining toffee bars to decorate the top.

Disclaimer: Do not attempt to make this without medical assistance within 911 reach. This blog is not responsible for any pounds gained, teeth rotted or heart attacks. Just so it's clear!

Can you smell it?

Sure keeps the cold wet rain slapping against my window away. I dive into sunny, fragrant bags of roasted beans instead... inhale.... aaaaaaaaah. Cured!

So ok, i was drugged as hell this morning, figuring out the little blue pill takes more than an hour to take effect but it lasts for at least 8. But that's a good thing, see? I'll be forced to go to bed earlier to get those hours of sleep - didn't sleep super well BUT lo and behold, no headache this morning! it's a fucking miracle! heck if the answer is as simple as that... ho boy. :-))

Only two captions came in for the "scenic WC", now I know many of you have brains on fire so there is no excuse not to participate - poke poke. Feel my stick in your ribs. I'm waaaaiiitiiing!

Angels and demons

"There has been a reevaluation of our slave philosophy
that permitted us to be satisfied
with the leftovers at the back door
rather than demand a full serving
at the family dinner table."
Aaron Henry
...everyone wants a full serving, so few know how to ask or even admit to themselves they are hungry. Or that they want dessert. Or the whole damn buffet. We're all just... so proper, sitting there picking at the crumbs. Napkin, anyone?...

Me happy :)

The doctor at the Migraine Clinic was such a nice man, knowledgeable and understanding. As I am a difficult case (no definite headache pattern or one thing that sets them off), before going to the bigger tests he prescribed a daily prophylaxis (Amitriptyline) to be taken before bedtime. This should help me finally sleep, and STAY asleep - thereby limiting the neck tensions of tossing and turning, the jaw clenching, waking up exhausted and with a pounding head. Crossing fingers this will help... I go back for a re-evaluation at the end of August. Until then I need to track my headaches so we can see if the drug works or not.

For the big "kill me now" migraines, I got some zolmitriptan in the form of dissolvable tablets - at $17 a pop, I'm only taking those sparingly! OMG who makes up these ridiculous prices? Thank goodness for private health insurance... how do people with fixed incomes make it, I just don't know. And let's not even talk about our American neighbors who are in an even worse health system than we are!

Did I mention that my little crockpot has become my best friend? yessir, it's an amazing thing... dump raw stuff in there, spice it up, crank it on and let it simmer and cook for a few hours, no stirring and no worries, no spills and no mess - just a gorgeous fragrance that fills the house with "home love", and there we have a few lunches for the week. Yeah. Lazy cooking at its best... because..

So many things, so little time. I need a pedicure, I need a haircut, a massage and I haven't been to the cinema in a year - just can't be bothered, man. I keep forgetting to pick up the dry-cleaning and buy shoes, too busy working and blogging and oh jeezus the dogs BADLY need a bath this weekend... gonna rain for a couple of days so no choice, have to wait.

He he. Some old guy stepped out of his truck at a red light today to tell me I had a nice smile. Probably cuz he had almost no teeth himself, LOL! but still, it was nice. yeah. Karma and all that.
