Answer me this:
If you checked your online local weather report for the day and it said "Sunny with cloudy periods, 0% probability of precipitation" - you wouldn't think of rain, would you?
Of course not!
But apparently Montreal weather-people were on crack today or were enjoying a joke at our expense because the big fat pregnant clouds rolled in with a vengeance around lunchtime and as we made our way out of the city to go spend "a sunny summer afternoon" in the Eastern Townships, it started to piss with rain! WTF!
I might have ranted about it in the car for a bit. Just a tad.
*ahem*
The clouds followed us east, we got rained on again while visiting with my grandmother (I hadn't seen her in two years... she's 86 now and has quite a bit of alzheimer's) and my mom (who lives in Quebec City but goes to care for my gramma every other week, I hadn't seen her since I got married in early January, mon dieu!) and then the sun burned through the greyness and all was beautiful again.
We stopped by our soon-to-be house and snapped a few pics of the lush green gardens with Vegas' tiny camera - since they turned out fine would you like to see a few?

UMMMMM YES!!! We need to see a few...crazy girl.
Our weather people are just the same here...our clouds are also pregnant with rain. I just want to know who has been messing around with those clouds???hmmmm?
Glad you visited w/ Grandma and Mom. Sorry your Grandma is not in a great state of mind...hope she did enjoy your visit though.
can't wait for some new house/country pictures!!!
Oh and tiny cameras are not all that bad...miss fancy smancy big camera girl. I say this with love.
Rain or no, I'm so glad you got to see your granny and mom. And oh yes we want to see pictures! Quebec is beautiful. And your pictures are beautiful. We win!
Even more absurd than the weatherman saying 0% precip is the Montreal girl believing him. lol!
I'm glad you got to see your Ma and Grammama. :)
I call them weather guessers for a reason!
Busy Bee, I'll post some pics tonight - I do like his wittle camera cuz it can take videos! w00t!
Rebecca, you always are so positive and cheerful - ok I'll try to do my best, LOL!
Prin, what can I say... I'm naive and still believe people should and can do the jobs they're paid to do!
Myself, WG's for short. Hmm...
so the weather people are crappy at their jobs the world over? whodathunkit! LOL
yep, we get the same lies about weather here in nebraska as well. i think they are ALL on crack, if you ask me... you'd have to be to be able to stand there and make any sence of the big screen of weather behind you. so, i just look outdoors if i want to see the weather... it's usually 100% more accurate.
glad you got to see your family. and yes i wanna see pictures! hurry up, please....
c
I guess we should all carry umbrellas and suntan lotion in our purses. Backpacks. Rolling suitcase? LOL
Why yes, I think the weathermen are sadists.
I always love your photography! Bring it on. (I should not be typing that phrase.)
Glad that all worked out in the end and seeing family is always a good thing.
We had decent weather this weekend. It was about time. I think it rained for 4 days straight. Blech.
Could be worse. I just heard that they got snow in Calgary.
The rain is going to make your grass grow. Hope you have a mower or know someone who can keep your lawn cut with a discount...rain makes the grass green, but will sure grow fast.
Katie, LOL! no worries I shall bring it on! :D
Kathryn, the sun has gone on vacation for the summmer. Sigh.
Curly, you've GOT to be kidding me!! :-o
Daring, I'm starting to have grass mowing nightmares, stop it!
