Performance goals vs bullWHAT?

I'm wracking my brain trying to come up with something, anything to fill in the mile-long bullshit performance review document this company has just come up with, what a nightmare!

Each goal must be stated in a quantifiable and measurable format (e.g., quantity, magnitude, timeliness, cost, quality, etc.) and the expected behaviors (e.g., work collaboratively, listen to customers, demonstrate judgment, etc.).

Fuck! Speak English for crissake!

I hate these things with a passion.

My head is spinning with stabbing pain (Vegas says I have to learn to ask for massages and not expect him to offer them... this is when I miss my ex), it's again a sauna outside and hrmph, I just don't feel like smiling at the world today except to kiss its ass. Which doesn't taste like chocklit.

I know what the problem is: our bed is just too damn comfy, that's what. It takes superhuman effort to wrench ourselves out if its cooshy embrace at 6:30am - so take my word, don't buy a latex mattress or you too will suffer!

Mouahahahhaha.

OK, time for a 2nd coffee and attacking the pile of work on my desk, all the while doing half-hearted ab work on my chair to the tune of screaming kids outside in the playground near the office.

I miss being a kid, I really do. Remember summer days with popsicles melting all over your hands and you didn't care? No worries about unshaven legs or messy hair back then, either. No period cramps, spotty faces or maladjusted bras and who ever cared if you had garlic breath? No to-do lists that involved ironing or cleaning the toilet, no errands to run or dog poop to pick up.

Ah yes. Those were the days.

You are having some serious OMGthesummer'salmostfuckingover angst these days eh?

And performance reviews. I just had to review myself. Yeah that was f-ing special let me tell you. Second time in 6 months. That's what I get for working for a world class huge 150000+ employee company eh?

Yeah I hated being a kid but freedoms are something I miss.

And I love garlic so much I don't give a crap if I have garlic breath. So there!

Your man tells you to just ask for a massage and you're complaining??? You crazy. Go outside and eat a popsicle and let it run down your hands. :-D

You know...I miss being a kid and just had that conversation with my hubby.

Funny - as a kid, you cant wait to grow up. And as an adult, you seek your childhood. Weird.

Oh, I tagged you on my site. Happy Blogging and good luck with writing that review!

What if you wanna massage everyday?! Shit. I'd be asking for one if that's all it would taken......Cody is no good for massages, they only last like 5 minutes.....that won't do crap for my always tight muscles!

I miss being a kid.....but I DO NOT miss being in school!

When I was young I used to say "I can't wait to grow up" and my mother would always respond, "when you are grown up you'll wish you were a child".

I hate it when she's right!

So I saw the post above with the kid and I'm all, "Who the hey would want to do that? And then I read this post... And figured out why...

Remember summer days with popsicles melting all over your hands and you didn't care? No, we weren't allowed to be sticky. Ever.

No worries about unshaven legs or messy hair back then, either. No period cramps, spotty faces or maladjusted bras and who ever cared if you had garlic breath? Ok, I'll give you these two. But baths were also torture and when you cried, it'd leave lines in the dirt on your face. Ew.

No to-do lists that involved ironing or cleaning the toilet, no errands to run or dog poop to pick up. Um. Yes, yes, yes and yes. Whenever we'd have a day off, we'd get a list of chores to do that was long enough to take up the entire day and then some. And if you didn't finish? Oooo....

So yeah, I'd rather be now, when I don't have to do my to do list, nobody cares about the garlic on my breath and I can get sticky popsicle juice all over the place and [try to, in spite of the programming] enjoy it. :D

Are you out of your mind? Does your current boyfriend appreciate you missing your old one?

Initially I was pissed, but sought clarification instead of just assuming :) TD just hates asking for things, so she's having to realise that it isn't some gross imposition to ask your partner for something.

Thanks for your concern :) Fortuntely I've got thick enough skin to survive throwaway blog comments
