Things I can't have

Longer legs
An intact family
Eight dogs, at least
A huge mansion in the country for said dogs
Straight teeth
Talent for public speaking
A plan for my life
And last but not least.... caaaake, glorious cake!

All kidding aside, those who say "the sky is the limit" have no imagination, there is a whole universe out there... it would sure be nice to finally find out that we aren't alone in this tumbling mass of rocks floating in the vast blackness. Sometimes I just stop and look around me and feel totally disconnected, like nothing is real? Not even my own beating heart? And I just want to crawl back into the strange world that is my dreams, they often seem more real to me anything else. I can go back to my secret places whenever I want... the sea, always the sea and flowing water. I wonder what it all means?

But yeah, crawling back into dreams and hiding in your secret places keeps us all sane sometimes. It's a good thing.
