Our final offer on the property goes out today... and our agent said it would go through by tomorrow which means we're likely gonna be home owners pretty damn soon - my first one! OMG OMG OMG!
No wonder I can't sleep. Sigh.
If the place was all done up and we'd just have to move in and our lives went on as before, there wouldn't be this much stress. But no. I'll be starting my own business, which first has to be built pretty much from the ground up... not to mention all the renovations the house will need during the next five years or so.
So yeah, I get to learn all about architects, contractors, building supplies, tools, project planning, breathing dust and getting chemicals in my hair. Hah!
*so exciting*
Kay, time to get my arse to work - lots to do today and zero gumption to do it. I mean, gaah! Another three and a half months of waiting until my life can really start. Dammit. How do people find the patience?

oooh excited!!! cannot wait to see pictures.
Enjoy being overworked and broke for the next little while!
Honestly though, it is worth it.
Girl - this property is yours, in the bag...you ARE a property owner already - if its in your heart, its already yours! Cant wait to see how the rest of your dream unfolds! You have us all in your corner of support...go girl!
Wow!
Just remember it will all be worth it :)
I can't wait to buy a house with a big piece of land so I can run a kennel/rescue.
Fingers crossed? Ah I'm jaded, this albatross (house) is an expensive pain in the arse due to it's age, so I'm the wrong person...
I've learned to DIY well, man I'm a master plasterer, be prepared...if you can DIY, it's the cheapest option (that means the house, the kennel will have to be to spec for municipal inspections etc. - been so long I can't remember WHO inspects kennels....)
I can feel the stress ooozing through your words. :( But on the other hand, congrats!!! :) Hopefully it will *eventually* be everything you dreamed of.
Hey, you have practice breathing dust and getting chemicals in your hair in the city. :D
I don't know what Mike is talking about with the whole "worth it" thing.
Um... wait. I'm supposed to be supportive...
Um. :D
It's supposed to be fun- remember that. :)
