Can't freaking SLEEP! Gah!

I went to bed early to try and finally catch up on many, many hours of lost sleep that have accumulated the past couple of weeks but nooo... Toss, turn. Toss, turn.

#$!?&$%?*!!

So I gave the fuck up and came out to watch the UFC Championship fight with Vegas, just in time to watch GSP totally bitch-dominate BJ Penn in 4 rounds, he he! You go, George! Wear that belt with pride, you've certainly owned it!

Gotta love and be proud of fellow Montrealers :-)

So. In other news.

Today was a motherload on all fronts.

First, Dakotah got hit by a car on the short morning walk. Then Maika and Dakotah both chased and caught (read: killed) a squirrel, now the melonhead sports a swollen lip. Fucking hell.

Then we drove out to see that "low expectations" house and... well... after a two-hour visit... we're putting in an offer!! We're very excited yet cautious and we'll see what happens. We're going in very low, at the risk of insulting the sellers, but we hope they'll see it as an invitation to negotiate so we can meet somewhere in the middle.

As I said before, it ticks most of our "needs" list and some of our "wants", but the place needs serious TLC (ie renos, and lots of them) but that's the main reason it's affordable... We'll just have to suck it up and do what we can, little by little, to transform it into a place we can proudly call home.

So yeah. I won't jinx it by blabbing too much and will keep you posted on what happens... Our real-estate agent will send us the paperwork Monday and whoooosh! The horse is out of the gate! LOL

*deep breath*

Off to bed I go, I hope my stupid brain finally shuts down. Pleeeeease!

Ok first off, NOT GOOD about Dakotah...but I will say I'm sort of glad my dogs aren't the only ones with the high prey drive. Hope he's ok. And I guess the squirrel got his in before his utimely death (poor squirrel).

As for the house, we went super low on our house, sometimes that's what people need to see when they've majorly overpriced and need a wake up call that it's not in the condition they seem to think it is. Fingies crossed....

As for the UFC? Um ok whatevs, enjoy!

OMG! Hope Dakotah's okay!
Good Luck on the house! Glad to see the market allows for negotiations, here when we bid we had to bid over the asking price, and still lost :( My fingers are crossed that you guys can get this, sounds great!

So sorry about both your doggies but they are resilient..see they are even chasing vermin which means they are ok.

As far as the house - remember, it will be all that you imagine it to be, not in its current position. If it were perfect now, it would not allow for your creativity to shine through in it. It will be a project within a project and you will see your juices soar. I hope you get it.

Oh - and PS on the sleepless night. This may sound corny but it works. Buy lavendar linen spray and spray your pillow and bed sheets near where you breathe. It relaxes the brain and draws you into a deep sleep. My doc recommended it and it works like a charm. No spray? Burn a lavendar candle, buy lavender shower gel or bubble bath - just before bed. Good luck!

I had the insomnias, like, 2 nights last week. It was awful. Luckily the History Channel is always there for me.

Congrats on (the possibility of) getting that house! If you need repair help, just let me know and I'll come up there to showcase my bitchin' skills.
