Snippets of a simple life

If I love taking photos so much, I figured you guys would love seeing them!

It sure helps with blogging, as most of the time I can only post in the evening while juggling TV watching, email, facebook, dogs and keeping an eye out on the chickens. I'm tired! My brain is smooshy and won't go deeper than a puddle on the pavement!

Photos = forgiveness :-D

Our two akitas have bloomed since Dante has been re-homed. We hadn't realized how much they were repressed the past 10 months, how much space and energy the little one took up in our daily life. I feel so bad for not noticing... Sigh.
All is OK now, life is back to "normal".
Maika's reaction to my feet?
You caption it! LOL!

Happy Dakotah, wishing the world
was made of cookies -
he lives for food and licking people to death!
Nom nom nom!

I'm so enjoying this summer. Yes it's hot, yes it's muggy, yes it's raining but... For the first time in almost 20 years I'm not suck in an office 40 hours a week selling my soul for a paycheck (or working 80 hours a week on intensive home renovations, like last summer). That's not to say I'm lazing about picking mosquitoes out of my hair, I'm working my butt off in a hundred ways - but on my own schedule, in my own way.

Every day I wake up, afraid it was all a dream. Luckily Vegas is there to give me a good pinch (ow!) to prove it's all real! Yey!

On a parting note, our outside thermometer lost the plot a couple of months ago.

Hope you're all having a marvelous week, are you planning any exciting vacations (or staycations) soon? Do tell!

I am so glad you are enjoying yourself...working at your own pace is a blessing for sure.
The pups are so cute...I love them.

Vacation? I think the girls and I will drive to Atlanta to visit my Mom later this summer...we always have fun doing nothing with her.
take care, Suz

The dogs look so happy. Isn't it wonderful to have the day to do what you want. I know you work very hard but on your terms is the best kind of work.

I just love this post. It is so happy and hopeful. So glad you are enjoying this wonderful life you've carved out for yourself. It's so nice to hear about someone who isn't doing the standard mainstream thing, and is having a ball!
