Brain cud

I have this recurring idea that I just can't keep on the shelf any longer... Vegas is on board and if the logistics work out, if we can make it fit in our budget...

We'll maybe add a horse to our family by next winter.

I know! A horse! :-o

We've been here a year now and have no plans to move anytime soon, we have the acreage, the stables, all the setup we need as well as the precious help of the former owner of the property who has her horse boarded here - she would be thrilled to have a riding partner, she has extra equipment I could borrow and she would show me everything I need to know to make this life-long dream finally come true.

OMG! A horse!

There are still many considerations to address, mainly monthly costs and time/work involved but if we make this happen and the experience is good, Vegas would be game to get a horse of his own next summer and start riding again. We have endless miles of trails starting right in our back yard here. And if it doesn't work out, we can always re-home the horse.

If you don't try you'll never know, right?

Just like with my chickens.

Anyways, we're not ready to get involved before late autumn, at the earliest, so this pipe dream may fizz out by then... I hope not, though. We'll see what happens.
Our two current boarders, Maggie and Black.

Life's pretty crazy right now. Vegas resigned from his job a few days ago in order to focus on new and exciting ventures (woohoo!) so the future is a big unknown at this point - scary, to be honest, but what is life without risk and passion?

I love seeing my husband happy and whatever he chooses to do, I have his back.

We cannot do anything but succeed :-)

All right, time to get ready for bed... I'm sick and tired of choppy, broken-up bits of bad sleep so I'm back on my nightly dose of amitriptyline pills - crossing fingers the treatment works... Stupid neck arthritis, grrr! Pain, you fuck off OK!

Peace, love and ice cream for everyone!

I hope you get the horse if you both want it. Its a big responsibility, but I know you are no stranger to taking on a challenge. I sure hope you feel better soon!

A horse, wow! Now that's a pet that will not be sitting on your lap for sure - more vice versa!

Horses are gorgeous...they are intimidating to me, cause they are so big. Plus, they don't fit in my bed. :)
I hope you guys do what you love always...
congrats to Vegas for making this venture. best of luck to him.
Hugs, Suz
