We went to see the little guy yesterday - oh my, how he has grown since we first saw him! He's a good 14 lbs of sweet playfulness now - feels like a little brick when you pick him up :)
He walks like a sumo wrestler and is sooo cute.... He's the stockiest of the puppies and his coat looks to have a tiny bit of brindle in it (thanks to his cane corso heritage?) - it's a bit longer and softer than those of his siblings, too - very strange. His eyes are also rounder and more expressive than those of the other pups - all this makes the little runt unique and adorable!
Dante comes home on July 25th - can't wait!
I'm off to collect the chicks this afternoon, am super excited! Just need to go get a heating lamp this morning, what with the quasi-freezing nights I'm afraid they would catch cold and get ill. WTF is this October weather, anyways?
*shakes fist at non-existant summer*
And yes I chose names for all six of the hens, will introduce them tomorrow after I get pictures taken. It's supposed to be sunny (key word: supposed) so let's see what we get!
All right, gotta get a move-on... Have a fabulous Tuesday, everyone!

Awww - what a little cute Dante is!!! And those eyes! You are right, so incredibly expressive. I had to giggle at the visual I had of the little puppers walking like a sumo wrestler. Too too adorable. Can't wait to see all three pups together.
Safe drive with the little peepers. Looking forward to meeting them and finding out their names.
You sound so incredibly free - I'm so happy for you.
Happy Tuesday.
Thought of you Sunday at the SPCA, we had 2 beautiful roosters.
Apparently they "made too much noise".
Ummm yeah, roosters do that which is why you don't have them in your house? ????????
We were looking for a home for them, but I think we found one....
He is yummy.
Named all your chicks? Of course you would...they are babies!!!
:)
Too, too cute! And naming the hens is hilarious. I'd do the same thing. Everyone is right...you sound SO good. :)
Kathryn, it's a terrible pic, too - I'll post better ones once he arrives home sweet home :) And happiness is contagious, did you know?
Myself, people are stupid. Sigh. Hope you found a good home for them! We don't want a rooster specifically because they are loud and they can damage the hens if they're too lusty. I hope there are no males in the bunch I got today!!
Busy Bee, well one is a baby (3 weeks old) and the others are two or so months old - not sure. But since they can live up to 10 years of age, yes they're still babies!
PrincessB, I wish I could spend my day long taking care of farm animals... I would so do it :) but soon I need to work to pay the bills so... only dogs and chickens. For now :-D
wow he is a looker! I am so jealous you are getting little chicks, they are so cute and I would love to have a couple of them for fresh eggs in the morning! Sounds like your place is coming along beautifully!
He's almost as big as my terrier, she's only 18.5 lbs!
But she can still kick his ass.
For now.
Until he's heavier than 60 lbs.
Gotta love terriers ;)
Awe he's so cute crappy pic or not...
Dante is a cutie!
Piper, chicks are a lot of work... get adult chickens and save yourself the trouble, LOL!
Mike, you mean terroriers!
Zedder, he's a doll with a funny mug, that's for sure!
Daring, I'll tell him you said that :)
