We have a giant horseshoe lodged in our backsides - it's one bad luck adventure after another out here lately but still here we are standing, dazed and amazed.
It's been raining and storming for days.
The land is flooded ankle-deep.
Last night a mini tropical hurricane blew in, the screaming winds got terribly warm, shingles flew off roofs, trees were bending and snapping -
Well, have a look at what happened in our driveway,
why don't you?
I was freaking the hell out.
But guess what? The car is intact. It's ok. There is only one small dent above the driver's door on the frame of the car and that's it. Nothing broken nor scratched. The other half of the tree came dangerously close to crashing down on our house but it's still standing - it's a bleddy miracle.
Vegas and I broke out in hysterical laughter after escaping yet another could-have-been-disastrous situation. I don't think I recuperated from the dogs being lost two days ago and now this.
I need some advil and a glow-in-the-dark statue of the Virgin Mary to kiss.
